Riverside Cemetery was founded in 1876 among the tranquil country farms west of the Cuyahoga River. Riverside Cemetery is located in the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood, one of Greater Cleveland's oldest and most historic communities. Riverside Cemetery is a private association of lot owners. As an Association, it is not owned by any corporation, church, family, or individual(s). It is, and always has been; open to all faiths, nationalities, and backgrounds. Together we have helped families plan and carry out dignified tributes to their loved ones. Riverside Cemetery offers a choice of burial options, including graves permitting above ground grave markers or headstones and upright monuments.
